Residential buildings are among the greatest energy consumers in New York City, but what are the critical steps necessary to make them more energy efficient?
Prominent interior designer Jamie Gibbs will moderate a panel of professionals in the fields of architecture, construction and public policy to discuss recommendations and incentive programs for eco-friendly apartment building renovations. The panel will also explore the practical elements of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s ambitious PlaNYC 2030 environmental program. CIVITAS works to improve the urban environment and advocates for better land use, zoning and urban planning, affordable housing, public transportation, clean air and water, and public access to waterfront on the Upper East Side and East Harlem.
