THE GREENING OF SOUTHIE tells the story of Boston's first residential
green building, through the eyes of the steel-toed construction crew
that sets out to build it. The film is an exploration of how
environmentally-friendly design may be the key to solving the problem
of climate change, and a humorous portrait of some of New England's
most unlikely environmentalists. Given the current state of the
world’s environmental and financial systems, green building, green-
collar jobs and the green economy are perhaps the important subjects
of our times--and THE GREENING OF SOUTHIE delivers an entertaining,
