We'll be honest. Just cards on the table, lay it out there — we are really glad that you're at the gbNYC website, reading this. But there will be times — and we should be grown-ups about this and just acknowledge it — when you may not be able to visit this website. But because there should never be a time when you're out of the gbNYC loop, we present these other ways you can bring gbNYC to you. We'll miss you around here, but we understand.
Like regular old go-to-the-post-office mail, but instantaneous, emoticon-friendly, and free, email is certainly one of the most popular ways of transmitting information from person to person on the Internet at the moment. That could change, of course, but you should probably sign up for gbNYC's email list until something better emerges. Note: we almost never use emoticons.
Facebook - Popular among apparently all people and highly addictive, this social networking site is the best way to get updates on how tired people you knew in high school are this morning. Also and more importantly, you can get updates on what's going on at gbNYC.
Twitter - For those lacking the time to read more than a couple dozen words at a time, following gbNYC's Twitter feed is an ideal link to miniaturized versions of the newest and latest gbNYC-related happenings.
Linked In - Like Facebook but serious and without the Scrabble and "How Much Do You Know About Me" quizzes, Linked In is where grown-up social and professional networking gets done. Naturally, gbNYC is all up in there.
Is there something about gbNYC that particularly interests you? Besides the goofy prose on the g(et)bNYC(onnected) page, that is? Then an RSS feed is probably just the thing — it offers the latest listings and news in your area of interest, placed carefully into your RSS reader of choice, without any of the extraneous content that defines the visiting-the-g(et)bNYC(onnected) page.
