Another Apology, LEED-EB, Misc. Links
Apologies for the sporadic posting of late. My new job has been intense, but enjoyable, thus far and I've found little time to catch up on a lot of green building news. I am, however, working on an article about LEED for Existing Buildings in connection with a seminar that my firm will be hosting this fall, and I hope to summarize some of the results of my research on this site sometime in the near future. On to some links of interest: Interview with Rick Fedrizzi, President of USGBC. Two LEED Gold projects in Seattle. LEED-H in New England. This last article mentions bamboo as a sustainable building resource.
Bamboo floors are featured in a new exhibit at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., called "The Green House: New Directions in Sustainable Architecture and Design." The year-long show opened last month. Donald Albrecht, guest curator, said bamboo "literally cannot be used up, it grows so fast."
