There are a few tickets left for next week’s Greener Gadgets conference here in New York City, which will explore the greening of the consumer electronics industry. I’m attending and excited to meet Jill Fehrenbacher, founder and editor of Inhabitat, which is organizing the full-day event with Mark Alt + Partners. The conference will feature representatives from a number of consumer electronics companies, academics, and renewable energy entrepreneurs who will speak about product life cycle assessment, recycling programs, sustainable materials, and product marketing, as well as exhibit booths and entries from a green design competition whose winner will be selected by the audience.

Greener Gadgets will take place at the comfortable McGraw Hill Conference Center in Midtown, which has hosted a number of interesting green seminars over the past year, including presentations on BIM and retrofitting existing buildings. I’ve always been a big fan of Inhabitat; their website has a cool style and they always manage to show me something awesome- like the recent posting about the School of Art at the Nanyang Technological Institute in Singapore that has a green roof to die for. Engadget has a few free tickets for the conference so try your luck if you’re low on the green. Hope to see many of you there!
